Interactive Workshops to be Held on August 27 & 29

USTA Eastern and the Western Region, in conjunction with USPTA, will host two interactive workshops in August.  These workshops are open to anyone, including High School Coaches, Teaching Professionals, CTA and NJTL Leaders/Instructors, Volunteers, and other Tennis Enthusiasts. 

Lancaster High School (LHS) will be the site of a High School Tennis Coaches Workshop on Thursday, August 27.  The Workshop will take place from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on the LHS Tennis Courts.  It will move inside to the LHS Fieldhouse (adjacent to the courts) in case of inclement weather.  USPTA Professional of the Year Steve Pekich and RCW National Trainer Michelle Skelley will present on topics including:  Dynamic Stretching and Warm-up Activities, Managing Large Groups/Running Effective Team Practices, Team Building and the Top 10 Games Every Coach Should Know.  The fee for this workshop is $10.  Dinner will be provided at 5:00.

The USTA/USPTA Annual Meeting and Seminar will take place on Saturday, August 29 at the Tennis Club of Rochester (TCR).  The Midtown Athletic Club is the rain backup location.  The Workshop will take place from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Lunch will be served at Noon.  Ajay Pant and Billy Nealon will be among the featured presenters.  The fee is $25.  Please contact Steve Pekich at SStev1e@cs.com or Sue Bloch at sbloch@rochester.rr.com for information or to obtain a flyer/registration form. 

Attendees at both Workshops will receive handouts and presentation outlines.   There will also be time for networking and a question and answer period.  Both workshops are interactive, so please dress to participate.
