BNCTA Schools Program at Errick Road Elementary
Errick Road School Assembly

In 2003, BNCTA held its second annual Schools Program at Errick Road Elementary School in Wheatfield. Three separate assemblies were held on March 20, 2003 for the school's third, fourth, and fifth grade students. This served as a kickoff to the Physical Education unit. During the next three weeks, Shawna Macfarlane, BNCTA Vice-President and Head Tennis Professional at Niagara Falls Country Club, went to the school to work with the students. She was joined by BNCTA volunteers from around the community. The students were introduced to tennis, in many cases, for the first time. BNCTA will maintain its relationship with this school by providing information about USA Tennis Programs in the area and supporting the PE staff as they continue to offer tennis as part of the curriculum each year.

The BNCTA Board selected Colonial Village School as the site of the 2004 Schools Program. If you are interested in volunteering or bringing this Program to your school in the future, please contact Joe Steger, Western Regional Director.
