Volunteers Needed to Assist With SmashZone in Binghamton

The USTA SmashZone Mobile Tour is coming to the Spiedie Fest at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton, August 3-5!! We are seeking volunteers to "man" shifts each day. It’s a 4 hour commitment on Friday (including a one hour training) and 5 hour commitment (including the training) on Saturday & Sunday. Volunteers need a background check which is free to USTA members (www.usta.com/backgroundcheck). A high performance t-shirt and a hat will be provided to each volunteer. Tennis shorts, warm-ups or khakis along with comfortable shoes are suggested. We need a total of 10 volunteers each day.

You are asking yourself "What is SmashZone"? Check the attached volunteer sheet and read all about it. You may have seen it at the US Open on the left after you entered the grounds. It’s an interactive tennis experience which is way cool and lots of fun. I have always wanted to have it come here to Binghamton, so this is terrific. The other attachment lists the times for the 2 daily shifts.

Please let me know by July 6 if you will be able to volunteer. (Hope so!!!)Looking forward to hearing from you.

A big thanks.
