River Rock Celebrates

Pumpkin Patch Tennis

Pumpkin Patch Tennis

River Rock Tennis and Education Association (RRTEA) celebrated the end of the outdoor season with a Pumpkin Patch tennis party at the Riverside Park (Buffalo) tennis courts with pumpkins, prizes and pizza for the Tuesday evening lesson program players.  The event was sponsored by the USTA Eastern and Pizza Bella.  The program, coached by Joey Popielarczyk, included beginner to novice level athletes ages 6 to 68.

RRTEA's 2010 season was a successful one that included summer programs for all age levels due to the enthusiastic support of our local elected officials, the Buffalo Niagara Community Tennis Association, USTA Eastern, Junior Tennis Foundation (JTF), the professional coaching staff, and the expert grounds maintenance of our park’s crew.  An indoor Thanksgiving Doubles tournament is scheduled for Saturday November 27th at Village Glen Tennis Club for levels 3.5 and below.  Call 876-9815 for registration information and join RRTEA next May as they begin their 2011 season
